Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") set forth the conditions and procedures for using What to Eat (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"), as well as the basic rights and obligations between users and the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Service and users in relation to the use of the food recommendation service provided by the Service.
Article 2 (Definition of Service)
"What to Eat" is a free web service designed to help users decide what to eat, providing the following features:
- Quick Pick (Random Recommendation): A feature that randomly recommends food
- Food World Cup: A tournament-style game to find your preferred food
- Food Tarot: A fun way to discover your food fortune for the day
- Balance Game: A game that determines your food preferences through binary choice questions
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Changes)
- These Terms shall become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
- The Service may modify these Terms as necessary within the scope that does not violate applicable laws.
- Modified Terms shall be announced through notices within the Service, and shall take effect 7 days after the announcement.
Article 4 (Service Provision)
- The Service shall, in principle, be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
- However, service provision may be temporarily suspended due to unavoidable circumstances such as system maintenance, technical failures, or force majeure events.
- The Service is available free of charge to anyone without separate membership registration.
Article 5 (User Obligations)
Users shall not engage in the following activities:
- Actions that interfere with the normal operation of the Service
- Commercial use of information obtained through the Service without prior consent from the Service
- Actions that defame or cause disadvantage to others
- Actions that infringe upon the copyrights of the Service, third-party copyrights, or other rights
- Distribution of content that violates public order and morals
- Other actions that violate applicable laws and regulations
Article 6 (Intellectual Property)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights to works created by the Service shall belong to the Service.
- Users may not use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use it through reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other methods without prior consent from the Service.
- AI-generated images provided by the Service may only be used for personal purposes.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
- The Service shall be exempt from liability when unable to provide services due to natural disasters, war, or other force majeure circumstances.
- The Service shall not be liable for service disruptions caused by user negligence.
- Food recommendations provided by the Service are for reference only, and users are responsible for their actual restaurant selection and food consumption.
- Users must personally verify health-related matters such as allergies and dietary restrictions.
Article 8 (Advertising)
- The Service may display advertisements for the purpose of service operation.
- The Service shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from transactions between users and advertisers through advertisements posted on the Service.
Article 9 (Dispute Resolution)
- Disputes arising between the Service and users shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of litigation regarding the use of the Service, the competent court shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act.
Article 10 (Miscellaneous)
Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws and customary practices.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall be effective as of January 11, 2026.
